UNIVERSITY OF GENOA
The University of Genoa, founded in the 14th century, is one of the largest Universities in Italy. Located in the city of Genoa, with campuses also in the other cities of the Liguria Region (Savona, Imperia, La Spezia), has currently about 36.000 students, 1.800 teaching and researching staff and 1.600 administrative staff within 11 Faculties: Architecture, Economics, Educational Science, Engineering, Humanities, Languages, Law, Maths, Physics and Natural Sciences, Medical Science, Pharmacy, Political Science, and 46 departments.
Its educational offer consists of about 300 courses: 3 and 5 years Degrees, post graduate Masters and Courses, PhDs. Thanks to the excellence of its learning paths, the University of Genoa has reached the 2nd position in overall and the 1st position for internationalization in the 2010 ranking of the “Big italian universities” (Grandi Atenei Italiani) published by Censis-La Repubblica.
PERFORM, LIFELONG LEARNING CENTRE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF GENOA
Born in 1999, PerForm aims at developing a high level education based on specific professional needs of different industries.
Its activity ranges from the advising and the support to the educational programs developed by the Faculties and the Departments of the University of Genoa to the realisation of postgraduate Masters, specialisation and training courses and other educational activities for different types of clients.
PerForm’s activity is expecially focused on life-long education, postgraduate education and specialisation courses for high level professional figures for both the public and the private sector in the scientific, medical, economic, technical, legal, humanistic and social fields.
Since its foundation, PerForm has followed more than 200 projects.
EUCEN is the largest European multidisciplinary Association in University Lifelong Learning. It is an international non-governmental non-profit making organisation and has over 200 members from several countries.
